today we trialled our first student-led crit in the studios with quite a few of us. still testing out the structure and timings (some talked about their work so far, sort of as an extension of the show&tell instead of what they're doing now, but it was interesting to hear more about it) but overall it was great to hear more in depth about their practice. I didn't get to present anything as we ran out of time (went till 4pm, crits are draining) but I asked a few questions throughout. I hope I have more work to talk about next time. natasha and marine also showed me the work they are working through, I really liked natasha's painting composition/colour/energy and marine's technique of printing of various fabrics. both of them make me want to push my way of working more.
