today I was looking through some of our tutors websites just for some inspiration and overall dean kenning's site was particularly inspiring indeed, especially the diagram exhibition he curated.

and then I went on a bit of a dive in ideas (rough notes below) especially in watching some videos on surrealism, joan miro, magritte, etc (and I realised how much I really do have ideas that resound in surrealism) and anyway I ended up having several ways forward that I have no idea where they will lead, but I photographed some of my plushies to print out as 'representations' of them and as 'nature' stand-ins that you normally don't think about anymore. I want to print them life size and miniature. there is that school of thought around the miniature and souvenir that susan stewart explores. I want to still make work about the beach, the holiday, the escapism/last resort, the camera that cannot document, and its not a real beach anyway (artificial beach), maybe use my own self for something, maybe make some diagram drawing or paintings, maybe make some shadow boxes or pop up cards. I think I need to make a mindmap to untagle this mess of ideas and see where they can connect.
