trying physical drawing by how I drew digitally

I experimented with drawing with charcoal and pencil, with the brilliant eraser pencil as well. I wanted to try drawing sort of similarly as how I approached the digital drawing, laying down a layer of black first, then erasing into it. It was fun, but I feel that ultimately the digital had more freedom in layers, but perhaps it is the paper i was using that didn't have much tooth to take the charcoal... I think this drawing ended up taking from references like the wizard from earthsea audiobook I'm listening to right now (and partly thinking of the imagery in the tales from earthsea film), a past drawing I did using childhood pen and pencils, and maybe the image of the all-powerful man nonchalantly in the tub in that one scene from isle of dogs.

I wanna go further, higher, explore and adventure, even if I’m merely a ghost-ruin of a thing-person...
(used all childhood pens and pencils from 10+ years ago, so the pens ran out of ink and could only make invisible imprints, uncovered by the colour pencils)"
