8/2 party alligator doodle, more pics of the small drawing, and feeling more ready to re-read 1Q84 again (never finished the first time around, it is a lot to process..)
8/3 sarah's concert dessiné .. really enjoyed this one too.. made me want to draw more.. esp with more experimental means (like joey's demonstration)
browsed through a little bit more thoroughly and screenshotted some work that really inspired me and messaged a few people on instagram too just to let them know..
also really enjoyed these drawings I found on ig and twt..
8/4 my sister's 11th bday in nz, we had our first family skype call, she had a pastel cake,
and the Beirut, Lebanon explosion..
8/5 filmed my part for the wca legacy film, realised I need much more practice with talking/communicating especially in front of a camera.. will be working on this over time..
8/6 elise/zoë's event for paintingresearch with the three artists, was very valuable and inspiring..
8/7 terrible images of two drawings I started, the first from the marks into a lady in a car and the second from a dream I had the other night.
8/8 got a strange imprint on my arm from my clothes which reminded me of the infinite possibilities to mark the skin and body in drawings.. reminded me of my drawing days and days ago..
also revisited the soundtrack of drowning love which for me is one of the most bittersweet music I've ever experienced.. everytime I listen to these tracks, especially the piano ones, and especially the one playing with the scene with the red flowers, I feel I am being transported to another life I could have lived..

8/10 finding it hard to stay afloat (I drew this to illustrate that), and I wrote that blog post.. also decided to start a youtube channel so I can practice talking in front of the camera and communicate in general.. and try another form of expression.. everything feels very challenging but I have to push myself to grow..
8/11 tried filming my first personal video, it didn't work out in the end..
8/14 we started watching maniac (2018) on netflix, and it is so brilliantly directed and written, has a diorama in there as well, and a lot of symbols like the bonsai trees.. the first two episodes we were so confused because no context was given.. but everything was so cleverly executed, perfect so far. strange start and strange ends to each episode. like you are in a dream.
