today olive borrowed my small projector for tracing - and I joined in experimenting with it because I was also curious in how well it performs for tracing - realised that this particular projector only works best at certain distances, (cannot project very close but perfect medium distance and size) and for images that are too pixellated or too much detail it wont work well at all - but then again you could always trace those bits the traditional tracing paper way. I'm definitely going to utilise this more and cut the time on tracing.
we also discovered some interesting effects with image stretching against the floor / mirror reflecting /flash causing a ghostly projection etc.. which we can also play with in the future.
