pre-assessment meeting (useful and emotional)

today we had our last meeting before monday, the final hand-in, the fifteenth... I am undoubtedly extremely stressed, having pulling all-nighters (though sleeping till afternoon, so I feel fine) for the past few weeks (as I work better at night, I learnt) and the meeting itself with everyone's questions was sort of overwhelming but helpful at the same time. there were a few things I realised I needed to think more about/take a note of:

-pdf to upload on moodle: website + research journal URL
-many artists are exposing their work in progress/unfinished work
-put dates (months!!!) on everything - so they know which is to be assessed
-if no specified 'gallery space', be clear on what sort of gallery it is e.g urban, street-facing, warehouse-like.. could be a more abstract space like one you can hold in your hand or, international space station, or somewhere nobody's ever exhibited - just what is the best situation for your work
-if you have a couple of options for proposal - don't want to look like you are unsure - could do this or that - give details for what you want and why
-self evaluation form can put anywhere, also you just need to send them absolutely everything make sure they receive it
-the proposal: can include inspiration from other artists e.g. their display, and definitely your conceptions/ideas that are not only visual (but the visual is the main bit) (the proposal has to have been researched)
-prunella clough / residency - two people offered five weeks and fee paid, and legacy award 4000 pound award and can use facilities.. need to submit expression of interest three hundred words (I don't think I can do this because it overlaps with MA?)
-access to studios - will be emailed when we can go in to collect

near the end it was quite emotional because nelson and zoƫ were saying a lot of sweet and encouraging things... like how we will always carry this with us after we graduate.. and how we have been a really supportive community.. and how we sholdn't ever think we are not worth it because we've proven it, we worked together amazingly as a group...

I am really not exaggerating in any way when I say I couldn't have had a better experience studying here at wimbledon - I literally had the best time and it was because of our tutors and community and now we are graduating in the strangest times - definitely a bond that we'll look back at for the rest of our lives. I feel so fortunate to be part of this year, I'm so grateful.
