dream snippet text on 'paper'

today I finally tried an idea with text - as I was thinking if I should include text work as it is such a major part in my practice..and I was thinking about what written material I have in the archives - and its my dream journal, where I have endless amounts of dreams recorded on my phone, though most of it nonsense, it is really interesting seeing how a lot of the dreams I have feed back into the things I'm looking at a lot in my research, for example, animals, large glass windows etc. I find I am very influenced by what happened to me/visual so when I see a film, I might dream of a similar concept those nights. e.g. watching shutter island and that ending scene with the mother at the dining table setting dinner when she just drowned her children - I had a dream of killing my family and still sitting at the dinner table too - though the table was more like the one in Parasite, modern and clean..

anyway, I looked in my notes and was gathering some snippets. I was of course inspired by how Kawara's telegrams looked just visually, and I cant do that, so I wanted to something digital to simulate something like a post card or envelope or something to be sent. Fortunately, I just got mail so I took a photo of that brown envelope, cropped it in photoshop, overlayed a pink gradient, and a black box, then I wanted 'date-like' things in the corner without putting numbers in so I use this font that is just boxes (I love it, I used it for my previous collage). and now its sort of like a template I was playing around in with text length and placement etc.

I sort of regret not playing around with the black box more as I wasn't sure if I wanted everything to be consistent. I was also thinking if I should edit my own words and cut out some stuff - which i ended up doing for some, just so it sounded better - and I found this quite amusing cause it was like a collage in itself, using material and cutting it up.. anyway, I really enjoyed this experiment, I am definitely going to do more work like this in the future...! I'm gonna drop all the ones i made down here:
