I did this drawing - and it doesn't really fit in that well visually to the previous drawings but it was conducted in the same way.. I think I might have done the background color too bright? but it's solidified as this now. I posted it on instagram with a simple caption just going through the process and thinking a little bit...
‘I wait for no one and no one waits for me’, digital drawing. with that phrase on the canvas I washed it over with a watercolour brush, which made it more challenging to pick out details. so I collaged with more materials here, including a vintage manga cover (?), images from the golden record depicting solar system parameters, and the protagonist standing in the natural history museum in the film La Jetée.
I was thinking of the almost cliché phrase of ‘adventure awaits’ and I wrote Adventure A_ because I guess I was thinking about linking the presence of the ‘wait’ in the title/beginning phrase to emerge from the gap here?? or read like adventure A as if this was an option in a video game. idk, I think I was feeling the weight (ha) of all this waiting and dangerous wishful thinking in an ‘adventure’ or journey in a big and small scale.
