broken website of powell-cotton museum

I've been dropping down possible ideas for the visual proposal (or starting points at least) and one of them is using the virtual 360 degree window they had on the powell-cotton museum website as a space? collage material? motion track with my drawings? for a proposal, I thought it would be a nice full circle with my photographs, and dissertation, and my text I wrote for my experience. and especially speaking to this lockdown, virtual spaces etc.

I went on their site and I was so sad to find the website is down, it looked like this:

even though it looks like this, it's kind of fascinating still being able to see these links, and the images the words, like village, field, garden etc. still invokes an idea of that 'nature' in the mind. this also feels like its speaking to the broken nature of this time right now... like this lack of access to 'nature' has broken us all so significantly.. more than you'd think in the general population... maybe I could even use the site when it's like this... combining with my drawings??? I don't know.

but I contacted them anyway, I made a twitter account because I realised they were pretty active on their museum account, posting activities to do at home etc. and they replied to me within an hour.

sounds like it's going to take some time. rebuilding their site.. a new identity from the lockdown..
anyway, here are some interesting tweets from them as I scrolled back..
