I discovered that collectible space items exist on the Nintendo switch game ACNH just now and it is such a coincidence that the space shuttle looks spookily similar to Challenger, it struck me a little, and I don't know much about space shuttles and if they all kind of look like this but it seemed so curious I saw it at this time. I don't have the new nintendo switch, or the animal crossing game, but it is all over social media, people posting their characters doing things etc. the customisation in the new game is insane. I don't think I'll get this game because I will really get sucked into this second life, maybe enjoy it a little too much. (though it would give a lot of visual inspiration) you can literally do anything, it is stressful. it's like the sims but 100x better, cuter, and more collecting things, selling things, talking to villagers, tasks, etc. you could pour in thousands of hours in this game and keep going on forever.

anyway, I came across someone's story post on Instagram and she was saying how she has the recipes for these space items you can collect from celeste (who apparently is the sister of this other owl) who gives you information about wishing upon a star (or something) and to collect these items it (may) involve going to that spot the next morning to collect these star fragments left from the previous night? I don't know, I don't have the game. long story short you can collect all of these 'space' items from this character celeste, and I was curious what these items were because in the image I saw a shuttle that was extremely similar to the space shuttle challenger and I thought the irony was really something, I know the general space shuttle looks like that but because the memory of seeing all that footage of challenger launching and exploding made me see this in a strange way. it is in such a cute context, something you can collect from star fragments from when you wished upon a star. if you press a, the door opens!
I searched for a youtube video of someone showing their whole space collection and here are some screenshots from the screen recording I had (you can even collect the moon and this strange but adorable star hat). again, another example of decorating with 'nature' (can you call outer space nature..? I guess so.. but even the machinery to do with all this space exploration is visually intriguing when it is rendered so aesthetically and cutely in this game context):
all the collectibles (this format is quite interesting, perhaps I could use it for something..) :
