I was starting to play around with the imagery I gathered so far and made this collage - it is actually really difficult to decide what is too much or too little - as I don't usually make a collage in this way (before, with a preconceived notion of what it should look like) now I am using the material and creating imagery sort of organically. and with photoshop / procreate it is quite similar to physical collaging in terms of the concept of layers, but in this digital space you get to manipulate any layer however you want. I discovered that you can use a lot of liquify options on procreate - which created this almost hallucinogenic effect (though I am worried it'll come across with the reference to drugs which seems sort of far from what I want to express here) and I screen recorded this process of moving these pixels - I might make a video collage, I'm not sure yet. but here are what I have so far, it is difficult to say which is the 'result' because each of them have equal importance in its changes/shifts. I am also using text, which is the quote that Reagan used in his speech from that poem, in these collages but also in more hidden ways like 'the ultimate field trip' in that font that is just rectangles. anyway, here they are:
