I've always had an interest in 3D sculpting / motion graphics but never got the time to learn the programmes (plus it's so expensive!) I just love the infinite possibilities in the digital world - and it would be really valuable combining the digital with painting in this way... now that we're granted access to adobe cloud, there is the Substance series in there... but I still don't think it's free, not counting the free trial. anyway, I've been watching some tutorials on youtube, I've always believed that I am bad at doing things in the three dimensional, I'm not the best maker, but if its digital... there's a lot of leeway there, and freedom! I realise that a lot of people use zbrush as their go-to programme for sculpting, and with it you can really create so much... it is extremely expensive however. I think I might do more digital collages (I actually havent done a lot) for now. Or even some drawing/text that I can incorporate into the collage. (maybe I can create creatures) (like a *surreal painting)
I also came across this instagram page with landscapes that I assume they made using one of these digital programmes - it's just insane how realistic you can make things digitally. in advertising, so impressive too. character design and motion graphics, wish I could do them too. I want to create realistic but digital landscapes one day... this is making me wanna do a lot more collages.
