today we had our writing workshop with the artist monica rivas-velasquez. I enjoyed it a lot, she did talk through her practice and then gave us some material fo read through as well - I enjoyed the material a lot too. and when I was showing her what a write I was pointing to my writing and she said even the action of me painting to the text could be a piece of work. anyway, she showed us photos of her performing one of her text pieces out loud, which made me consider different ways in which we can present text works..overall I really enjoyed this workshop and always wish there’d be more creative writing workshops like this.
