before leaving for lisbon I saw an opportunity to submit for an e-journal created by a creative on instagram called depth cues (for the appreciation of cinema) - it was around the theme of comfort this month - and I felt I had the perfect film for this, which is paranorman, fresh in my mind after the recent Q&A. I figured I’d give it a try - I wrote a mini essay / article for it, I realised the end of the film really is a great sense of comfort as the curse has finally been lifted and she can finally rest in peace.. that’s a real sense of comfort for sure.. I’ll drop what I wrote here..
