I'm looking extensively into more subdued colour combinations thinking about my new painting... I keep thinking of great examples of the type of colours I'm thinking about in various animation films... (this is only a few examples, not a conclusive list of course)

something about ponyo: rethinking.. when i watched it, it felt like the end of the world, but calm and child like naivety.. places were hard to reach,.. family was a treasure.. gravity of ocean and situation
