Last friday I sent an email to geraint, who is based in camberwell now, about my MCP ideas and questions as well. I mainly wanted to know about if he felt that strong emotional reaction too when encountering artificial nature/dioramas. He sent an email back saying we could meet at camberwell to discuss these ideas so we did. In the end, I had an hour long conversation with him, and I wrote down everything he said from the recording. what his work/interviews/essay/ideas made me realise is sort of, the answer I was searching for in the dark for my mcp question... why did the diorama felt like such a confrontation... it probably all comes down to my perception of nature...
when I realised this the day before our meeting it felt like my eyes have been opened..
anyway, it was extremely helpful to talk to geraint in person and now I just have to figure out how to incorporate the conversation in my essay...
