I got an iPad and apple pencil + procreate for the first time in september, and it has made me much more productive, and I am so happy I bought them because now I can easily plan what colours to put where just like I am painting it in real time in different layers. I am also, on the side, interested in digital art, so I am practicing that as well.
I really had the urge to paint cartoon-y anime-y kitsch-y eyes on the mountain because it feels like a genre of style I've been suppressing for a long time for stupid reasons, I feel like people won't take art like this as seriously or, put my art in a certain genre... but I know that is silly and I am setting free of those boundaries and doing what I desire, especially with text, I wonder what is IN there, my inner landscape... there's some cute stuff, some gore, but I also don't want to be in that cliché genre of creepy-cute though that is inevitable, but I am gonna throw in raw parts of myself to make the work mine... we'll see.
