Today Zoe and Nelson showed us a few examples of how artists are portrayed in film - and it was interesting to see how exaggerated these ‘artist stereotypes’ were expressed. Often, they’re shown as being slightly mad, constantly drinking and smoking. The only example I’ve seen before the talk was the Van Gogh episode of doctor who… the other clips shown were really interesting too though, I might check out some of the ones that Nelson showed, especially the one where he said it was a film he loves a lot.
