In this tutorial I asked about my main concern for the assessment which was how to hang my thin panels on the wall, (if just balancing them on nails is not presentable) (I did want to back them as panels but they won't be dry enough to put weights on, I think) and tom suggested to try the wood strips that are smaller than the panel so that it just kind of floats from the wall. I heard people talking about this 'invisible frame' before but never tried it before, so right after my tutorial I went downstairs to do it, cut the wood with the machine and still weighed it down with weights as the glue was drying. Thankfully the paintings were not as wet anymore and I did lay down loose paper for protection. I was also concerned with the fact that I only had two presentable paintings for this assessment, but he said that it's fine to set my third half-failed painting as supporting work and to see if there is a link between my studio work and the night circus set up. Another thing he pointed out, is if I made the bed and the railing of the two paintings connect, which I didn't. What a coincidence, now I know how to set them up now.
