books on philip guston

I enjoy going to the library and looking on the shelves then suddenly finding books that you are interested in. I've always liked guston's work, but reading these pages made me realise things I didn't know about before such as how he moved from more realistic depictions to abstraction to a sort of cartoon-like style... I like how his colour palette is always kind of similar as well. Seeing his process and paintings, feels liberating, makes me feel like I should loosen it up a bit sometimes.
