CIRCUS DAY (setting up & taking down in a few hrs)

The day of building/setting up/taking down the circus is finally here. I've been stressed about it ever since we had the idea, it seems ambitious to build a whole circus structure with just really, two people and a few hours. There would be no time for errors. Of course, there were a lot of difficulties (apart from carrying the large panels one by one up the stairs, the large ladder as well, took 5 people to lift up all the walls) such as drilling the hinges on the walls, getting the LED lights/projector/videos to work, streamers being too sparse, the walls having the back on the outside (what savannah intended), nails not being able to be knocked through the wall for some reason, so had to use a block to put my paintings and blocks on, trying to remove tilly's paintings from the walls afterwards as she stapled them on, finishing everything on time (we were a few mins late and people were already coming in), the streamers being a bit wonky at the top, the actual circus being really small, trying to hide the wires and failing, getting the wires over the walls, detangling the LED lights... etc etc.

All in all it was a lot of physical work and stress in a few hours, and though it was very stressful and tiring, we got a lot out of it, felt like we learnt a lot, not just in skills but also in problem solving, and seeing clearly things we could have done better. I think it would be really wonderful if we could do this again in the future with more days to set it up and more planning / larger scale. The atmosphere was good though, I think we did a decent job with the time we had.
