Afterwards we also went into the museum of childhood (V&A) which was surprisingly filled with children. It was indeed very interesting to see the displays there, how fast products and toys for children developed, from hobby horses to barbies to nintendos. As expected, there was some creepy looking toys back in the day as well. I was still overwhelmed by the museum of curiosities so we didn’t go through the whole thing, but it was still fascinating to see half the displays. Seeing different aesthetics, toy packagings develop through the years, puppets etc.
these exhibits reminded me of the original winnie the pooh and his friends in the NY library.
