I was really entranced by all the 'chasing' scenes of Natsume running after Koh all the time, especially in the first half of the film, almost acting as a metaphor. He was such a mysterious, reckless boy in the town that the beautiful model (from Tokyo) Natsume was instantly attracted to, perhaps not immediately romantically. They were almost competing in the beginning, where she agreed to do the photobook just to show him.
Anyway, the way these chasing scenes were filmed, a lot of it was a single unmoving shot, with the two moving within the frame. I wanted to sort of map some of these movements, and these were the results. I think these work better as images than paintings, so I'll select some good scenes to paint from this week.
