reworking and starting small studies

For the past two days (monday, tuesday) I continued to work on the big painting but also do what I've always wanted to do but was too afraid to - make small studies of food. I am always very inspired by the way food looks and shapes - almost like landscapes. I hoped I can try studies first and then manipulate them to be more abstract. Working with water mixable oils/ thicker paints has been more fun than I thought - I finally understand the joy of it!

I've also been trying some colour palettes from pictures on pinterest that I am drawn to. Also, reworking older paintings to get the colours more correct. It is liberating.

I think I made the colours a bit too harsh..

I feel picking out colours digitally helps me mix colours better
