Francis Bacon is an artist that I've researched about very thoroughly and thought about a lot in the past, which was why I was very set on seeing this show. I also wanted to look at Freud's work since I'm not as familiar with his pieces. I hoped going to this exhibition would help me in seeing different ways in painting form and figure.
The two artists were friends who rose to prominence in London in the 1950s, and were regarded as the leading figurative artists of the 20th century.
